Elizabeth (Betty)'s Story
I was a student at Weymouth High for 4 years. I Moved to California with my husband, Nick, in 1966, the year we were married. I met him while I lived in Detroit, Michigan. I have 2 wonderful step-sons who have given us 5 grandchildren and one great-grand-child on the way. Nick and I have a daughter, Amy, born in 1968. She and her husband, Steve, have given us 5 beautiful grandkids. Nickie, the oldest is 17. He is a special needs child and lives with my husband and I because I home school him. Jon, who is l5, working hard to become a paramedic-firefighter. He is also on the high school football team. Julia and Haylee who will be turning 12 in July. he also plalys ball. I guess you can tell I'm kind of proud of my grandkids. My daughter lives only 6 minutes from me,
and I enjoy that.
My husband and I both play golf...we live on a golf course! Nick plays daily and I play once in a blue moon. I used to play more often but with my grandson living with me I'm kind of busy. We've been retired since 1989 and have enjoyed our life here in sunny California.
While in high school, some of my friends were Anne Faustini, Phil Bryant, Bill Donovan, Lila Gardner, Cecelia Rogers, Elaine MacDonald, Ritchie McClain, Jim Melvin, Sue and Ted Allen, Lorraine Madison and many more. Unfortunately, I've lost contact wit everyone.
It was Lila Gardner who lived across the street. I used to copy her shorthand for her. We were best friends.
